Hendersonville Community Co-op has provided its community with quality products and services for more than 20 years. The co-op began in 1978 with a group of 15 families interested in buying better food at wholesale prices. During its history, the co-op has expanded and relocated several times. In December 1999, we expanded into our current site. Several of the founding members are still active in the co-op, and our membership has continued to grow. Approximately 1,500 families and individuals share in ownership of the co-op.
The co-op boasts a wide selection of organic foods, including an all-organic produce department, bulk foods, an extensive wellness and body care department, fair trade coffees and teas, and fair trade gifts. Hendersonville Community Co-op is also home to the Blue Mountain Deli & Bakery, which offers fresh, natural and organic dishes and goodies daily.
